Medvode

City Medvode was named after its location, as it lies at the confluence of the Sava and Sora. Through the city an important traffic route passes, which connects Gorenjska with Ljubljana.

In the municipality of Medvode approximately 400 natural and cultural heritage remains can be found. In nature you can visit the nature park Polhograjski Dolomiti, an oasis of mountain eco-diversity in the area between Škofja Loka and Ljubljana, the Zbilje lake, which is home to many animals, hot spring Straža in Pirniče.
