Ruše
Municipality of Ruse is located in northeastern Slovenia and surrounded by the river Drava on the north and by Pohorje on the south. Maribor is located only 13 km away.
Pohorje offers the possibility of hiking, Nordic walking and mountain biking on a number of thematic trails. In winter time tourists can enjoy on the ski slopes Areh.
Natural wealth is reflected in the beautiful forests that hide the jewels of the nature. Nice example is gorge Lobnica where the stream Lobnica flows and forms numerous rapids and waterfall, such as waterfalls Veliki Šumnik, which is also the largest waterfall of Pohorje, and waterfallMali Šumnik.
In the municipality of Ruse one can see the cultural sights such as Falski Castle, the Calvary in Ruse, Church of St. Mary in Smolnik, Turkish wall in Smolnik, a monument to fallen soldiers of XIV. Division on Šumnik, summer theater in Ruse, hydroelectric power plant Fala, the birthplace of Janko Glazer etc.
