Krško is a city of Posavje where the valley of the Sava River expands into Krško plant.
Krško is successful economic center of the region with headquarters of energy companies like Nuclear Powerplant, GEN energija and Brestanica Thermal Power Plant.

Near Krško, in Mačkovci near Brestanica there is a pond, where you can fish or enjoy excellent food and wine or stay in their rooms.
In Krško you can see Rajhenburg castle, Valvasor library, gallery of Vladimir Štoviček, one of the leading Slovenian medalist and Gallery Krško. In the city awaits Valvasor complex, where you can visit the City Museum. The famous historian Johann Weikhard Freiherr von Valvasor spent a part of his life in Krško.
