Sevnica
Sevnica is located in the southeastern part of Slovenia and is part of the Posavje region along the Sava River.
Sevnica is offering nice options to explore the area on foot or by bike on the mountain and thematic trails. The vineyards are connected by two wine roads. You can stay on farmhouses in Sevnica. Well known event of Sevnica is salamijada, the contest of selecting the best salami, organized annually.
One of the highest peaks in the Posavje is Lisca, popular for paragliders and hang-gliders.
You can also see natural attractions such as the Park by the Castle Sevnica with numerous trees, protected native species Clusius gentian on Lovrenc and Yellow Rhododendron above Boštanj, waterfall Stopnik in Čelovnik, waterfall Bojanca in Bohor and pond Krmelj which attracts many anglers and offers picnic place and relaxation.
